I have used MTS on 3 occasions- twice to prune our beloved fruit trees but on the 3rd occasion to cut 2 massive (although not massive according to them) cypress trees. These trees were on my neighbour's property but I was arranging the quote and job. Firstly to say this company is competitive is an understatement. I mean a whole $1000 - $1500 cheaper than other quotes I had obtained from others who claimed access was an issue, that is, it's more expensive to cut a backyard tree as opposed to front yard. Fair point but these guys didn't even bat an eyelid, and there was a narrow pathway they had to encounter between the backyard and front garage door. The guys came on time, had a great sense of humour and cut those trees with such ease...it was great to experience! Overall the MTS team delivered in all aspects (Dom in customer service, Lyle when quoting the job and the crew when undertaking the job). Thanks again MTS. Great work! read less

It was a difficult job (with the tree being right on our back fence near a rear dwelling) but this was not a problem for these guys. Lyle told me how the guys would perform the job (I was worried about potential damage to the dwelling just over my back fence) and this worked perfectly on the day. The team turned up on time, were extremely pleasant to deal with on the day and removed and cut up the tree without any damage. Lyle organised his stump grinding team to come in and remove the excess stump and they did a great job too. There was some stuff Lyle needed to take care of after the tree removal (but no problems, Lyle took care of it). Overall, Lyle and his team are committed to great customer service (and his team backs this up). read less

We had a large oak tree that needed pruning, a large ficus tree that needed removing and a pittosporum hedge that needed a 1 - 2 metre haircut! My initial conversation with Lyle through to the quote and completion of the work was seamless, responsive, professional, transparent, honest and great value. Care was taken not only for surrounding shrubs and buildings but also the trees they were working on! The guys explained in detail the process of pruning and involved us in the entire process as it progressed. It was also great to see Lyles team (5 at our job) all happy and loving what they do, and it was a pleasure having them here. Once finished they spent time cleaning up ensuring zero mess was left. Would I use MTS again? Absolutely! Therefore if you need the services of a tree specialist in Melbourne, seriously don't waste your time ringing around, Lyle is your man! read less
